Avril hit the Top 40 with "Complicated." Avril said about the song: "I was fed up with people being two-faced and phony. It can be a boyfriend or a friend or people you work with... That's what that song's about: people being fake."
Avril released her debut LP - Let Go. She said of the LP: "I couldn't go as alternative on this record as I wanted to, but I just didn't want to be bubblegum pop."

5th - a great day for music as Let Go is finally at number 1 in the album charts in England go Avril! It took some time getting there but now its at number 1 and rightly so! Congratulations to Avril!
